So I'm not as upset as I was, against the Reddit Mod, special thanks to An0nymouse for talking through it with me. Even if I was just emotionally venting, the company was nice.
Today is about a poll though. You can have a choice of two online friends.
The first is excellent company. They are always there for you, they never misunderstand your words. They're emotionally supportive on a bad day. The downside they can't RP worth crap, even if they are an otherwise talented, story teller.
The second is an awesome roleplayer. They give the best for you responses, and play every character like an old pro. Their downside is that they hate OOC chatter. Trying to talk to them OOC will likely cause them to get mad, misunderstand what you're saying, give vague one word, replies.
I've actually come across a situation similar to this! I've had someone who was an incredible roleplayer. They gave long replies, didn't take more than a day or two to send, they were really great at playing the characters, but trying to talk to them OOC was like trying to get a dog to say antiacid. I felt so freaking awkward with them so I did what anyone in my position would do! I took the roleplay off course and ended up making it the most crack-tastic roleplay until they sent me an OOC email asking, "dude, what the fuck are you doing?"
I think you know how this ended. I gave said person a cheerful goodbye.
But then I also had the very peppy, happy, and supportive partner who was pretty much the worst roleplay partner in the world. I explained that hey girl, you kinda stink at this. I could help you work on your skills if you want but I'm not feeling the roleplay anymore. She was understanding and you know what? After ten years we're still talking! I bet you know my answer, but I'd take a horrible roleplayer but Ace person over a shitty person but amazing roleplayer anyday~
Not that I'm looking for bad roleplayers or anything. xD
