We all have our obsessions and this one is no different.
I like rice, white rice (particularly jasmine) in particular with yellow curry from my college cafeteria. I also love it with my mom's chicken or lamb curry, and sometimes with lentils (preferred spicy). I don't mind whole grain rice as a healthy alternative, but I do prefer white rice, so long as it's not the basmati (yes, it's a weird distinction, but I don't care.) I think sweet rice served with cinnamon is a nice dessert on occasion. I can make homemade fried rice, usually because I don't want to pay the delivery guy to bring me some. Rice cooked with chicken stock as opposed to water is a common stable in my home, and I often eat it with some sort of canned meat as a topping (yesterday, it was canned beef, which I do not recommend.) I really like rice with sardines though and find it to be a fine dinner after hiking or on a Saturday night (guess what I'm eating?)
But I do not eat rice plain. It's commonly seen as a side dish in my house, part of the main meal, but not a meal in and of itself.
Also, I like rice cakes, but I remain unconvinced they are really made out of rice.
Any questions?

To be totally honest, I do prefer white rice. There was this once time that I have cut up the steak and then fried it then made rice. Then I mixed steak and rice together and it was pretty good. Yeah, I loved white rice. That's probably the only kind of rice that I'll eat.
