There are certain things I like. Video games, movies, comic books, anime...
Nearly every category will have a series that I personally adore, but whenever I ask other people if they have ever heard of it they all tell me no.
So, I want to get this off my chest...
There has been a lot of times where I will really want to role play something and I will simply steal the entire plot and just pass it off as an original idea.
As an example let's suppose that for whatever reason someone has never played Mass Effect, one of the most popular video game franchises. Not only has this person never played it they have absolutely no knowledge of the series at all.
So let's suppose I really want to role play Mass Effect and this person is my only partner because for some idiotic reason I have not been able to get a partner I mean seriously for like the last two fucking years. Seriously, what the absolute fuck happened? I used to get partners left and right. And I mean I have like 12 different emails so it's not like I act like a bitch on one of them and then everyone started avoiding me.
But back to my point.
If I asked to roleplay Mass Effect you can guess that they are going to say no. They are not going to feel comfortable.
But what if I don't? What if instead of asking to roleplay Mass Effect, I instead ask to role-play an original idea involving science fiction, where we play a group of people that are trying to save the Galaxy from an ancient race of machines that periodically come by and wipe out all life?
Now that it's presented as an original idea people have no reason to be afraid of it.
So yeah, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Sometimes if I really want to role play something and I'm having no luck getting a partner for it I absolutely will steal the plot and pass it off as an original idea.
Also seriously....is anyone else having major trouble getting or keeping partners? I mean this is complete bullshit that it's been two years since I've had a decent partner.
