Now I'm role playing with some very nice people on here, I'm just saying that now before I get into the real discussion. Has anyone had it where someone asks you to rp, you exchange ocs, and then out of nowhere they ditch you? No word, nothing they just up and stop talking to you like you did something wrong. Well I have been having that a lot and Im not sure why. I makes sure my ocs are not Mary Suez or OP, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Personally I find it rude. I understand people are busy and have lives, I'm busy myself, but when I see your on daily and you don't even offer me a message or anything that really irritates me! Sorry, I had to let it out. I really like this website but if everyone is going to treat me like that I'm probably going to end up finding a new site or something.
Why do people care more about you when your dead then when you are alive?
I've had it happen too, and I agree, I usually think it's loss if interest in the fandom, or the message didn't send or family matters-that's usually what I think happens. I've never thought about it being because of a character.
I feel like everyone's had to deal with that from time to time, and it seriously blows.
Usually I just assume that the person either loses interest in the fandom, gets too many roleplays going at once and loses track of things (and as somebody with ADHD I can say that's happened to me once or twice myself - and I always feel terrible DX) or maybe the person just decides that the roleplaying styles aren't really compatible. However I doubt it's the last one. Judging somebody's writing style on an OC is kind of a poor life choice. XD
I agree with Sailor! And I didn't think about it until now, but the losing track of too many roleplays sounds like a good point. I bet that happens, juggling a lot of roleplays can be hard!
Well I would just like it if they would at least tell me they are quitting instead of ditching me. Like if you have a problem or have writers block let me know and Ill try my best to make it better or to help. So many RPers these days are so afraid of confrontation that they just up and leave, and you know what that makes me more upset than telling me your leaving? Why? Because at least I am not waiting and waiting for a reply that will never show up, that is very rude and in a way kind of hurtful.
