Note: I'm not sure if this is okay (posting this here) but I just wanted to post it somewhere where I don't have to search through a bunch of old files to get to it... and since I just noticed I didn't include this the love interest for this OC is Glenn or an OC.

P R E - A P O C A L Y P S E
Before the virus took over, life for Emily had been busy. She had been born in Detroit, Michigan and was born and then the next week given to her birth father and left by her mom. So she never did meet her birth mother, but after she left Emily’s dad--Richard--had finally given in to all the demons that ran through his mind. The man who had once been a biochemist lost his job after he ended up coming to work smelling of alcohol and being completely drunk off his ass. So Emily grew up knowing her dad as an angry alcoholic and a drug addict.Richard was forced out of his large house and ended up buying a trailer that he and Emily lived in. For a while they were poor with very little money. The money that they did get was government money, most went to alcohol her dad’s dealers. Emily rounded the age of ten when she had been the one to suggest to her father that he just make his own meth instead of spending so much money on the poor quality kind. Her dad didn’t know why he hadn’t thought of it before and began to make his own drugs with his daughter by his side, helping and watching.
Emily didn’t care much for drugs or alcohol because she saw what it did to her dad, but she did enjoy listening to her dad talk about chemistry and helping him create something out of seemingly random objects. She had been an incredibly smart young girl, often made fun of because she wore the same clothes to school three days in a row or because she came to school dirty, but she always got good grades. While still in elementary school Emily even began to take high school courses because all she would do when she wasn’t in school was either spend time at the local library studying or spend time with her dad as he made his own meth.
She grew up knowing that she wanted to be a biochemist like her dad had once been and in middle school she finally found an old box of Richard’s that had all his old textbooks and various educational pamphlets. Emily soaked the information up and began to ask her dad about… anything and everything. He was so happy to tell her about all the things he used to do and anything that Richard could explain to her he would. It’s only because of her dad that she knew enough to graduate high school by the time she was 13 years old, had she not have had the man there teaching her about mathematics, science, etc. and all the time Emily spent at the library she would probably have dropped out of high school when she was 16.
But the thirteen year old didn’t get into a fancy or expensive college after high school but a local one. It was just as good as any other college and within those six years that she spent she still lived with her dad but his health was beginning to fail. Emily watched her dad begin to die with all the alcohol and drugs he was taking, but didn’t do anything to save him. She started stealing to pay her way through life and those thefts went from stealing cheap gold chains and such to stealing stuff that she was able to pawn for $5,000 and up. Emily got lucky when she didn’t get caught each and every single time.
After graduation it was hard for her to get a job because both her age and the limited amount of careers open to biochemists in her town. By twenty she lost her dad and lived in the trailer alone and Emily had easily lost her way. She took her dad’s truck, attached the trailer to it, and drove down to Georgia holding a hope to one day working for the CDC, but to her that was a dream that would never happen.
She had found herself quickly getting into a relationship with a man who had been at first so charming and warm. Aside from her dad he had been the only long-lasting relationship with a man and after her verbally and mentally abusive dad this guy just quickly swept her off her feet. At twenty two Emily was married to Dwayne White and he began beating her a few months into their marriage. Because they lived in her trailer, when Emily and Dwayne got into a fight no one heard so the cops were never called even when Emily would come stumbling out with blood running down her from her face and body.
One night as Dwayne was beating her, their fight spilled out of their trailer. The married couple were fist fighting because Emily had finally had enough of being his punching bag and that just pissed him off even more. He had managed to get on top of her and was punching her in the face over and over when suddenly Dwayne was ripped off of her. Emily was helped up to her feet by a man and watched as his brother started to kick Dwayne’s ass. Once her husband was unconscious Emily thanked the two and asked what she could do in return, and once the two introduced themselves as Daryl and Merle Dixon they both ended up taking her and her husband to the ER.
Merle had wanted to save her so that he could [force] her into getting him pain pills. Emily was fine with it, and after taking herself and Dwayne to the ER they did give her some oxycodone while Dwayne ended up passing due to his injuries. Playing the grieving widow, Emily fled the hospital quickly and met back up with Merle and Daryl and even got a refill on her pills when she claimed she lost them. She invited the two back to her trailer and while there, Emily explained things to Daryl as Merle passed out on her couch. The two wound up talking most of the night and by the time morning came, one could say that they had become friends. Before the dead began to rise Daryl and Merle would come visit her on occasion because they knew that they were always welcomed.

Gear
She doesn’t want to keep a lot on her so Emily has a metal water canteen, a few knives, a pistol, and a few cans of food. She doesn’t want to carry much because not only would she weigh herself down but invite others to try and steal what she does have.
Victims
Numerous Walkers: As anyone who has been on their own she has had to kill her fair share of the living dead. She has lost count of how many of the dead she has killed.
Camping Man: During the time Emily has spent out in the world she came across a man who had been camping but when he saw her he attempted to kill her. Using a gun he shot at her but missed. Emily eventually managed to stab him through the neck and then stabbed him in the temple to keep him from coming back.
Woodbury Attack: While defending the prison she helped kill a few of the residents that helped the Governor destroy the prison.
Attack on Terminus: The cannibals, Emily had honestly wanted to go back and kill each and every single one of them but obviously had not. But she did manage to kill a few of them while they were escaping.
Relationships
Hershel: Emily was one of the many people who loved Hershel. The man was someone that could make anyone happy and Emily truly admired him for the person he was and the person he had been before the outbreak. He had actually helped Emily see that there were still good people and that she didn’t have to be so damn distrustful of everyone.
Maggie: Emily gets along with Maggie with ease. She and Maggie are best friends and she does whatever she can to help Maggie.
Glenn: At first she had been weary around Glenn but not because she thought he was a bad guy, she just never really had a friend before who looked like a nice person and actually was a nice person. So for a few weeks Emily kept waiting for his nice guy demeanor to slip up but when it didn’t Emily relaxed and began to put all her trust in Glenn and has even sworn to herself that she’d back him up no matter what.
Rick: Emily at first trusted him and was happy to put her trust in him but slowly as his mental status began to decline after losing Lori a part of her started to pull away even after he pulled himself back up. She just can’t ever see herself putting her life in his hands anymore.
Daryl: Ever since he and Merle saved her from Dwyane Emily has looked at Daryl like he was the older brother that she had always wanted. Emily and Daryl can usually be spotted chatting together but if someone were to listen in on them, they’d probably roll their eyes because a lot of their talks aren’t serious in the least. Who would win in a fight and which celebrity would they love to see a Walker of sort of talking. They do talk about serious matters, just not where other people can listen in.
Carol: Emily absolutely loves Carol because she sees things for how they are. She may not like them but she doesn’t chose to shield herself from the horrors and that is why Carol has Emily’s respect.
Andrea: No opinion.
Michonne: Emily was awkward around Michonne at first because she didn’t know if she could trust her or not. Eventually she warmed up to the woman and thinks that she’s a badass and hopes that one day Michonne will teach her how to use her sword, but hasn’t bothered asking.
